Tasha Tudor (1915–2008) was a Caldecott artist with more than ninety books to her credit. She was known across the world for her glowing watercolor depictions of the American rural scene of a century ago and for her exquisite paintings of children, flowers, and animals. This is a poor quality print of a wonderful book. The images aren't sharp; also, the red and blue color plates are much diminished, with a preponderance of the yellow. I have an early and excellent print of this book and the difference is striking.This was to be a gift, but the experience of the book is so diminished by the poor quality printing I had to return it.

This is a very old fashioned story that tells stories month by month of what this family used to do to celebrate things. The illustrations are fantastic and often brought me back to that world as a child. I was always hoping the 'July' story would happen for my birthday. This book fits well with Tasha Tudor's other book The Doll's Christmas. I also love to find the corgi dogs in each book.

This is a charming book by one of my favorite artists. She had a unique style and we miss her. Collecting her books has been a passion and they have made great wholesome books for gift giving.

Beautiful book with a delightful storyline for celebrating around the year focused on people over screens. Such beautiful work by Ms. Tudor!

Tudor's watercolors are magical and this book of the seasons and holidays is a gem.

This is my favorite book from childhood. I buy it as a gift for all my expecting friends. It’s gorgeous and the story is heartwarming.

Tasha Tuder is a favorite of mine and this book does not disappoint. My own children looved her books and now the next generation is enjoying them again. It is a perfect baby gift.

What a beautiful book-our whole family loves this book. It is one of our 22 month old's favorites! Warm celebrations for each month in simple settings bring to mind days long past and fill our hearts with the calm assurances of rhythm and seasons.
