Love this book for my 4 year old. Matching hidden pictures, mazes, counting And tracing perfect for preschoolers and kindergarten.

I got this for my spirited almost Kindergartner who hates to fill out worksheets most of the time. She loves the Highlights magazines when we are at the doctors office so when we saw this at Target she begged to get this. I thought about it for a few days and ordered it on Amazon and she loooves filling it out! Hooray! Now she pulls it out and is happy to do pages in it. I think part of it is that the pictures are colorful and fun and it changes activities up quite a bit. Some of these workbooks do very similar activities for each letter but this one tweaks it just enough that they feel fresh and new with each additional page.

Educational and fun. There are a variety of different activities in this book. It keeps learning fun for kiddos because it’s not just all tracing and writing letters and numbers and shapes like many other workbooks. Of course there are letters, numbers, and shapes, but the activities are more interesting. There are also mazes and hidden picture pages as well. A+

Our 5.5 year old grandson loves Highlights magazine and he is in kindergarten. I bought him this for Christmas...he loves doing his "homework" First day he sat down and did 12 pages with little help, except for me reading the directions on each page. Good choice for early and excited learners.

We purchased the Highlights Kindergarten workbook for our son who will enter kindergarten this Fall. We plan to use it during the Summer so he can practice and doesn’t get a brain drain. Our son loves to trace the uppercase and lowercase letters from A to Z and numbers from 1 to 20. Each letter and number page has different additional activists such as matching, coloring, drawing, mazes, and sounds. There is also a section on colors, shapes, patterns, and sight words. There are math concepts such as skip counting and simple addition and subtraction. Grouping and sorting is also included. Overall this workbook has a lot of activities and concepts build in it. It will keep our son busy for a couple of months. Best part is that he can skip around and do different sections versus page by page.

My kindergartener grandson loves to show off what he has learned in school. He loves to sit at my desk and work. Doing the activities in this book keeps him busy when I'm busy. He loves to play school and now he has books to use.

This book seems great as busy work to give my child but i didnt find it very educational. I would not buy it again.

I've been consistently doing this with my 5-year-old every day after school and I love how diverse it is. We started with tracing lines, once he was done with that we went to shapes, when he got bored we did some colors and then some numbers. It has everything a kindergarten child learns. ABC, numbers,shapes,opposites,colors. The activities are short but stimulating. I would greatly recommend this to all parents of preschool age children.

I am currently a licensed Agent in California and relocated to Louisiana. I purchased several books to study for the National and State portions of the exam to be a licensed Agent in Louisiana as well. California does not participate in multiple state licenses like others do, thus it is called the Bureau of Real Estate. Most of the concepts are the same, but there are some agency law differences. This book is excellent! I went to Office Depot and made three copies of every sections test and three copies of the national exam test(there are three versions at the end of this book). I simply recapped the sections and took the tests after each section and repeated the process there after. The material is clear, concise, and easy to read. I just want facts when I study, not the authors perspective. This book has that. Invest in the book and take the tests and you will pass the exam. Overall, it will be much less expensive than paying PSI $85 to take the exam multiple times. Really an excellent book! Good job guys!

This book really goes into detail and helps you move along, and slowly builds your confidence. Trust me, you will pass take a deep breath and "Relax" before this book, I had some trouble with the math, and this book will help you!! PSI, also, has a practice test for $19, you can take before you take the test, that is also worth it. This book is a hands down 5 STARS, Superb!!

Informative but could be a bit easier to use. It is not easy to look up information if you are not sure which chapter the info should be in. Table of contents info is a bit vague. The glossary too could reference a page so you could find where the term is used. The answer key answers for each chapter diagnostic test do reference the page number. If you are new to Real Estate (that's why you bought this book) many terms are new to you or the Real Estate use of the word is unfamiliar. I am taking the course on line for Maryland and some of the Book and on line definitions are a bit different and or not emphasized in the book as they are for the state course. I didn't care much for the on line course myself. I think if I had the time I would take the course in the classroom.

As I am going through my brokers exam find that with the many licenses and exams taken in my life it is important to study and practice the testing materials and format of questions that needs to be learned when taking police, law, real estate exams the language use and test preparations are all different and those out there who are writing these books should prepare their students with a specific format to pass the exam(s).

I purchased this book as an additional study guide to help with the R.E. exam. It's great! I went through each chapter (pretty much in line with the 60 hr class I took) and took the quizzes after each one. These questions are written like the exam is written. The guide provides the correct answers - and the reasons why - along with the page the info can be found on. The full exams at the back of the book were also very helpful. There is a full chapter on math calculations - made it easy! I dove into this book for two solid weeks - then 5 days prior to the actual exam I ordered and took the online sample exam from PSI. It was a huge help also! Passed my R.E. exams first time!! Money well spent!

Obviously, I'm a fan of H.W. Who couldn't be? A talented lyricist. However, on this point, the publisher of this collection did not include all of the verses in "Move It On Over." If you are going to publish Hank, then publish all of his work. The selectivity was due to space, of course. So, add an Appendix. I don't know how many other songs have been shortened. So, buyer, be aware.

This is a very impressive collection of practically everything written by Hank Williams, and exactly what I needed (with chord diagrams). My only complaint is that there are Hank classics not written by him that are not included in this anthology; such as, "Lovesick Blues", "Settin' The Woods on Fire", and "Half As Much". It also doesn't include Hank's "(I Heard That) Lonesome Whistle". But it seems EVERYTHING else is here - and it's wonderful this music book was released! (Five Stars if the mentioned songs were included!)

I found that most of the songs in this book are in the key of F, and most of Hank's tunes are not played in the key of F on his records. The publishers told me that they don't claim to match the keys of the record and they may have been changed for guitar and piano arrangements, which makes no sense to me. The songs and lyrics appear to be correct otherwise, and I just played along with the records to transpose the keys by hand. It was a pain, but worth it to have an accurate representation of one of the greatest collections of songs of all time.

Terry likes that old country style music. This book has just about everything Hank Williams ever wrote in it. That music feels like it comes from his soul. It is very good older style music, and it brings back so many memories.

Great for me. This is the most Complete Hank Williams Songbook I've found and i have several with his more popular songs. Learning the Lyrics and Guitar Chords to a few more will be my effort to keep the songs alive.

If you like Hank Williams songs, this is a must have song book. It contains almost all of his songs with the words, music, and cords.

Yes it would be nice if this were spiral bound.Not all songs are included of course. But most are.The keys in the book are not necessarily the key the original was in. This is because keyboard players prefer flat keys and guitar players prefer sharps. So sometimes you find the original was in E but is now written in F. Distracting if you are trying to play along with an mp3 or CD.Otherwise I love this book.

I got this as a gift for my dad, and he loves it. The only downside is that some of Hank's most popular songs are not included because he wasn't the one that wrote them. It is a big collection, though, and can keep your family and friends entertained for hours. I also wish it was spiral-bound to make is easier to keep the music open while playing.

If you have never read or hear of this book, note it is a sad tail. However it is a true eye opener when it comes to better understanding the Holocaust. I would greatly recommend this book for personal advancement as well as to use for educational proposes. Too often the tragic past is sugar coated; this most defiantly is not. If you want to read the truth this book is for you. I would not recommend to young children, for obvious reasons. I was introduced to it in high school and though it I was able to find my love of history and my undying curiosity as to why history insists on repeating itself time and time again. My only hope is that this book will open the eyes to a younger generation and my own to better identify that a very similar event is happening now on our planet and hardly anyone is batting an eye.

These book is actually a trilogy of 3 books by author Elie Wiesel. The first is his memoir, Night, and it was superb! A very honest and heartfelt memoir about the sufferings of this sensitive and insightful man and his family during the holocaust.Dawn was a novel with some truth in it and was pretty good. Day was just too weird for me and way too wordy.

What an emotional ride. I've been a Wiesel fan for a great many years and this book most assuredly did not disappoint. He had me from the opening page and I found it difficult to put down. Young and old alike need to read this Trilogy. I am certain, from speaking to many 20-somethings, that they cannot relate and find it difficult to believe that such things could ever happen. Wiesel gives you three different stories, all of which are clearly different with no relationship to the previous story, but then again, they DO relate. You won't be disappointed.

Night should be a required read in every high school. The preface had me in tears as I could hear the wisdom and sorrow of Mr. Wiesel. I asked my 16 year old daughter to read this. Thank you Mr. Wiesel for speaking out, for telling your story with such elegance and truth.

Mr. Wiesel certainly gave an emotional account of the Jewish people during the Holocaust. I had never read anything on the Holocaust, did not even study it in high school history. I am appalled at the rest of the world including the USA for their lack of compassion for all of the victims of the Hitler regime. It hurts my heart that there are people in the world with such hate towards another person. I will not forget this story. Shalom, Mr. Wiesel.

A truly unforgettable holocaust memoir with two gripping fictional stories where Mr. Wiesel imagines himself in quite different circumstances after WWII. Everyone from age 14 and up should read this story as part of "life education." Humanity's brutal histories and those who suffered and perished must never be forgotten.

This is a straightforward account of what happened during the Holocaust to one family. It is a page turner, partly because a reader can't imagine going through the experiences. I was incredibly moved.

If you are interested in learning about the Holocaust, non is better at writing about the times then Elie Wiesel. He lived through it and could tell the story better then others who have tried. I could hardly put it down other then to go to sleep and pick it up after breakfast on the weekend.A must if you have interested in learning about those who lived through that period of human history.

Everyone knows who Einstein is and E=MC^2, and newton and his basic contribution to physics. But the average person has no idea who Maxwell is or how prolific his contributions to physics and modern society.This is a classic book and a great read. I don't have the math background for a good part of it, but it is still worthwhile reading the theorems and his commentary and discussion.As a reprint this is clean, though I wish someone would typeset this to a less cluttered font and presentation.Worthwhile in anyone's library.

I order this on a manic learning spree. It is really cool, a piece of history. But I gave it to my coworker better versed in modern physics and math. I couldn't decipher it. She was ecstatic though. Worth it if you know your math.

To be clear, I am a fan of the works of James Clerk Maxwell. However, I am not a fan of this rendition of his work. Since there are manyversions of this book, let me emphasize this is the Forgotten Books print version M0D1005094765. That is not the ISBN numbersince it is a remastering of some copy of the original from 1873. I hated the rendering but I can not say that Forgotten books messed it up ortheir original was a garbage copy. There are clues that their copy was from some second hand engineering library but I can't say for sure.They may have improved as much as is possible from a bad copy. It would be sad if this is the best rendering that remains from a great book.This may be the second worst rendering ever made. ( I had one book that did an offset over print and was totally unreadable.)The books begins very well with clear concise print. And many pages are very good. But then this book appears to degenerateto be a grab bag of different mechanisms (hand Xerox, Typeset, hand writing, whatever method available) copy of the 1873 original.To be clear, I am not sure if this is a problem with the publisher or if this is what they had to reprint. Worst of all, the equations appearto have been erased, smeared, badly typeset, etc depending upon the page. You often have to guess what was in the equation. The fonts changein darkness, font family, sharpness between paragraphs on the same page.Some characters are smudged into a black blob while others are so faint that they can not be read.My eyes started to hurt just trying to focus on the text.I am a huge fan of James Maxwell's work. His work is great, informative, easy to understand, entertaining, etc. I would be very unhappy to find that nothing remains of his great work except this rendering.

This book is a must read if you want to know how electrodynamics theory developed historically - Everything is treated rigorously and in great detail. Also dealt in detail are how electromagnetic quantities are measured, how the instruments developed and their theories of operation.

There are some books that even when they are reprinted editions, the font looks ugly. I liked this version of the treatise on electricity and magnetism, It has a nice font and nice drawings and pictures.

See my rating and commentary on the first volume. The original engineering sourcebook. You need a year of calculus first but reading through still provides original insights on how mathemations of the time contributed to all fields of engineering as discussed by Maxwell.

I have to admit I haven't read this book; I bought it because Maxwell's equations represent one of the great advance in Physics, i.e. the integration of electricity and magnetism into a single theory. I have read that many physicists didn't understand the work when it was first published. Anyone who is serious about reading this book might want to purchase "A Student's Guide to Maxwell's Equations" by Daniel Fleisch

I gave my husband this book for xmas as it was on his list and he was really surprised and happy to get it. He hasn't read it yet but has skimmed through and likes what he's seen so far.

I read this book about 20 years ago, when I was first considering converting to Catholicism from Evangelicalism. Now, after worshipping as a Catholic for many years, I am encountering this again, as if for the first time. It is still marvelous. Don't miss it. You will be glad you spent the time with this wonderful author.

Thomas Howard does an excellent job explaining why he was drawn to liturgical worship. After being a Baptist and then a Methodist after I married he helps me put into words to family members why my husband and I were so drawn to the liturgy after visiting a Lutheran church. We eventually went through a year-long catechism and joined the Lutheran church.

This is a well written account of the first part of Howard's journey toward Rome. I am considering all of this myself and find it extremely useful and among the eye-opening works I've encountered on the way. Currently an Anglican. Who knows.Howard explains the assumptions he had, the misinformation, and the gentle way he was drawn to a different, and for him, more satisfying worship. If you are curious, this is a good starting point.

In this classic and moving testimony of Mr. Howard's conversion from devout Evangelical to what he calls, "Catholic Evangelical," we see the philosophical and emotional challenges that underly the begging questions of Christendom. With a linguistic style and pathos reminiscent of C. S. Lewis, Mr. Howard gives us insight in what it is that attracts so many to the ancient faith. In the end, he offers practical suggestions for Evangelicals to obtain some of those attractions while affirming that nothing short of uniting with the Catholic church will grant the fulfillment of their inner man. Mr. Howard's approach is non-threatening and non-polemic. It is a simple description of what great treasures he feels Evangelicals lost in the Reformation. Perhaps it is best summed up in his closing statement: "Yes-I believe that the Roman Catholic Church is the Ancient Church. I accept its claims. I believe that here one finds fullness ("catholicity") of the Faith. Hence, I mourn the splintering in Christendom. I pray daily for the reunion of Christ's Church. "This is perhaps the best of the flood of conversion stories available in the quality of pros and the deep understanding of liturgy, ceremony, and sacraments. It is also a great work toward helping Protestants and Catholics understand one another. Indeed, the Reformation is not an event for celebration but for sorrow. We would do well to better understand the depths of that great wound and our need for healing.

Several years ago as a Baptist pastor, I felt an urging to study the Catholic Church. Over the course of about two years I read over 150 books by Catholic authors. One of the first books I read was this book by Thomas Howard. Of all the books I read, this book absolutely changed my life and had a profound impact upon my ministry. As a result I became an Anglican. Howard shows us the beauty of liturgical worship and how it paints the whole drama of the gospel.Howard writes in a such a way that you can actually feel yourself inside a church immersed in worship of the Triune God. When you are finished you will have a desire to read more about the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. For years as a Baptist pastor I knew I was missing something but could not put my finger on just what it was. After reading this book it hit me like a ton of bricks that what I was missing was a connection back to the Church of the years before Martin Luther came on the scene. I realized that someone had guarded the gospel and the sacred worship of the Church for the first 1500 years of Christianity and I needed to get back to my roots.You may not change your denomination like I did after reading this book. But I believe you will have a deeper appreciation for what worship is all about.

If you're wondering if there's more to faith than what you are getting in an Evangelical church, the answer, according to this author, is yes. Being from an evangelical background, I could see and identify with the author's perspective.
